SMK Pertiwi Kuningan Pusat Keunggulan – Tempo Documentary


This documentary video was produced to highlight the implementation of the SMK Pusat Keunggulan (Center of Excellence Vocational School) program at SMK Pertiwi Kuningan, in collaboration with Tempo Documentary and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The project aims to showcase how vocational education is being transformed to better align with industry needs and future workforce demands.
The documentary adopts a storytelling-driven approach, focusing on real experiences within the school environment. It presents the transformation of vocational education through authentic narratives—from students and educators to industry collaboration—highlighting how the program creates meaningful impact beyond the classroom.
The production captures various aspects of the program, including industry-standard learning facilities, teaching factory activities, and the integration of industrial work culture into daily learning processes. It also highlights partnerships with industry players, reflecting the link and match concept between education and the professional world. Through a combination of observational footage, interviews, and cinematic visuals, the video delivers an informative yet engaging narrative.
The SMK Pusat Keunggulan program is part of the Merdeka Belajar initiative, designed to improve the quality of vocational education and ensure alignment with industry needs. The program aims to produce graduates who are ready to enter the workforce or become entrepreneurs by strengthening collaboration between schools and industries.
Selected schools, such as SMK Pertiwi Kuningan, are developed as reference institutions with enhanced facilities, industry partnerships, and curriculum synchronization to meet real-world demands.
